Whatevs

I really wish you'd take the picture down. That's MY picture, not yours, even if you are in it.

I'm very cranky lately and I am aware, I am just not sure why. I have been sleeping all the time so it's not like I am tired, even though I always feel tired. Blah. It's the time of year. Even though it's not actually too cold, it's the time of year when it's supposed to be cold and that sort of makes me cranky. I hate cold, I hate being cold, I hate everything about the cold. Although the plus side is that you can always add more layers of clothing to go outside, as opposed to taking layers of clothes off if it is too hot. They tend to frown on that.

Does anyone remember the Lurlene McDaniel's books that were all the rage when we were younger? These lame ass soap opera type books that were always about teenagers dying from random diseases and how tragic it was that they never got o be in love blah blah fucking blah. One time Mom got some books for me from a book order and one of the books was on back order so as a replacement until the one I wanted arrived, they sent me this one called 'Baby Alicia is Dying.' GREAT TITLE. I was in 4th grade, I believe. It was about this girl who worked as a volunteer or something at some hospital and was taking care of this baby who had AIDS. Of course the baby died and it was all sad. Real life can be depressing enough, and this woman is STILL WRITING THESE STUPID BOOKS! Well, she was a couple years ago, I don't know if she still is now, but Jesus Effing Christ it was always the same, she just changed character names and disease names and BOOM! New book.

I did, however, totally dig Fear Street. Still kind do, actually. Not just R.L. Stine books like The Babysitter and stuff, but the actual Fear Street ones, like the Cheerleader trilogy (that ended up actually having four books, ha ha) The Fear Street Saga which told how Fear Street came to be (this chick got burned at the stake in 1692, wackiness ensues, lots of people died, etc etc etc) but not to be confused with the Fear Street SagaS, which were several stories about various members of the Fear family. I also dug the Fear Street Seniors series, but I outgrew reading these books by the time Stine finished the series...Actually I don't know if he finished it. I should check. I kinda liked those books.

Anyway, that's my rant for today. I have lots of other things to rant about, but if I do it right now it won't be remotely possible to salvage very delicate relationships so I am just going to wait until I am in a less rant-ish mood, thus can calmly speak. Or maybe not. Whatevs.
